Beyond Open Skies: Crafting Engaging Flight Levels in Chasing Stars Online
-
Hello @everyone! You are likely to admit that flying in an open field is pleasant, but not so interesting. In order for flights to be fun, you need a well-thought-out level structure and honed mechanics.
The first thing in developing a level is its limitations, that is, how difficult the location is from a gameplay point of view. For example, you hardly want to fly at high altitudes when an enemy plane is chasing you, because in open space it is more difficult to dodge missiles.
Conditional "location" can be divided into zones, each of which has different gameplay. Most importantly, this is necessary to give the player unique game situations.
As you can see in the first screenshot, the flight area has open spaces, and this strongly affects the player's perception. You will not feel safe until you have at least one ride covered.
The second picture, in turn, represents interconnected structural buildings that allow you to maneuver between them, evade pursuers and even turn the situation to your advantage by simply confusing the enemy.
In addition, if we also take into account the maneuverability of our aircraft and its evasion capabilities, each of the selected aircraft bodies and modules installed in it will influence the ways of using the environment.
